I believe one of the reasons our retail and restaurant businesses are successful is because we have earned a reputation for shopping local, giving back and supporting the community we love. I believe in getting what you give. My husband and I always enjoyed partnering with the village, chamber of commerce and local charities for community events. We do this because we enjoy giving back, honestly, it’s good for the soul.

We love town, this is why I named my business Kara Farmhouse, it gives credit to the 100+ year old farmhouse we lived in for many years (our logo) and makes me pause to think about a simpler time. The charm of this town with it’s quaint shops and fun downtown activities is what drew us here. You’ll find kids still playing in mud puddles, tire swings and sandboxes. Love living here with 1890s charm.

All communities needs your help, please shop small. While we are always exploring new areas and investing time in these new communities to us we’ve always believed in supporting the locals both in business and in community. You can always make an impact with just being kind and buying local when you can PLEASE shop SMALL! Many of the items you need can be purchased from these small businesses. And if you aren’t shopping then do something nice for your community, give TIME.
